Aquisição de nacionalidade por casamento

The spouse of a Cape Verdean citizen may acquire Cape Verdean nationality, provided that he/she declares, during the term of the marriage, the desire to obtain it.

Provide the details of the application for nationality and attach the required documents.

1. Choose order type:
   • Normal order
2. Choose recipient:
   • Own
   • The other person
3. Fill in the nationality acquisition data:
   • Please indicate legal basis, special mentions and nationality mentions.  
4. Attach Documents:
   • Nationality Declaration Certificate 1;
   • Nationality Declaration Certificate 2;
   • Marriage certificate of the interested party, valid;
   • Valid birth certificate of the interested party;
   • Criminal Record Certificates, issued by: Cape Verde, country of birth or country of current residence (accompanied by official translation, if necessary);
   • Valid ID.

5. Attach intervening information:
   • Enter the complete data of the mother and father.
6. Make payment:
   • Make the payment through the available digital options: MBWay, Multibanco, Visa, Vinti4, Paypal, MasterCard or American Express.
