The application for higher education is the process that allows students to attend university courses in Cabo Verde or abroad. The applicant can apply for:
- Bachelor's degree programs
- Integrated master's degree programs
- Scholarships offered by the State of Cabo Verde
Scholarships are intended for both national institutions and institutions abroad.
Who can apply
To apply for a place in higher education and/or a scholarship, you must have:
- Secondary education diploma (12th grade)
- Be 25 years old or younger on December 31, 2026
- Meet the specific requirements of the selected competition or scholarship
- In the case of underage applicants, an authorization declaration duly signed by the guardian must be submitted, authorizing participation in the application process, accompanied by a copy of the guardian's identification document

The application can only be made during the periods established for the opening of competitions.

How to apply for higher education online
You can submit your application on the portal or in the GOV.CV app. Click "Apply" to select the desired place and follow the steps indicated:
Confirm the identification details
Check first name, last name and other required details
View the identification document
Click "Next" to continue
Check your school records
Check the secondary school details
Check the subject details
View the subjects and respective grades
Indicate your course choices
Choose up to 3 universities and courses
Confirm the authorization
Authorize the use of your identification document for the application
Submit a complaint, if necessary
Indicate if you found inconsistencies in your school or subject records
Finalize the request
Check and, if necessary, change the details before finalizing
