The entry date declaration is a useful document to prove the date a person entered the national territory. It may be required by public and private institutions in Cabo Verde to facilitate other administrative procedures, such as residency applications.
Who can apply
The entry date declaration can be requested by:
- Cape Verdean citizens residing or not in Cabo Verde
- Foreign citizens with a visa
- Legal representatives (minors and incapacitated persons)

How to apply for the entry date declaration online
You can request this declaration in the GOV.CV app. To start, click "Apply online" and follow these steps:
Indicate who the request is for
For yourself – For another person
Fill in the identification details
Enter first name, last name and other required details
Indicate the place of birth
Select the country and place of birth
Enter the residency details
Select the start date of residency
Attach the documents
Attach an identification document and visa, if applicable
Finalize the request
Check and, if necessary, change the details before finalizing the request

Track the status of your request in the "My requests" area, available on the portal or in the GOV.CV app.
