The apostille of documents is the procedure that allows documents issued in Cabo Verde to have validity and be recognized abroad, in countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention.
An apostille may be required for birth certificates, marriage certificates or other documents for residency, nationality, study or work applications abroad.
On the GOV.CV portal, you can choose between:
- Electronic apostille: the faster, safer and digital option. Before applying, confirm whether the destination country accepts apostilles in electronic format.
- Paper apostille: after issuance, the document can be collected at a public institution or sent to your home address, upon payment of shipping costs.
