Signature authentication is the act by which the notary confirms the authenticity of a signature, granting legal validity to the signed document.
It can be requested in different situations, such as contracts, authorizations or vehicle sales.
Who can apply and what is needed
The request for signature authentication can be made by:

The cost of signature authentication varies depending on where the request is made. The amounts for requests made in Cabo Verde differ from those applicable to requests made abroad.

How to apply for signature authentication
You can request signature authentication on the portal or in the GOV.CV app. Click "Apply online" to start and follow these steps:
Fill in the identification details
Enter first name, last name and other required details
Provide the identification document
Enter the details of a valid document
Select the type of authentication
Select authentication by likeness
Attach the documents
You can attach one document for authentication at a time
Finalize the request
Check and, if necessary, change the details before finalizing the request
Make the payment
Pay simply and securely using digital means
Track your request
Track the status of your signature authentication request in the "My requests" area, available on the portal or in the GOV.CV app.
