Certificate of Matrimonial Capacity

The Certificate of Matrimonial Capacity is the document that proves that the citizen is legally able to marry and that there is no impediment to his marriage abroad. This certificate is usually requested by foreign entities for the organization of the marriage process. The request for the Certificate of Capacity to Marry can be made on the Gov.cv portal. 

1. Required Documents:
   • Declaration signed by both applicants;
   • Valid birth certificate of the foreign fiancée (if applicable);
   • Identification document of the bride and groom.
