Who can apply for the registration and what is needed
The registration of acknowledgment can be requested by the parents, by submitting the following documents:

Identification document of the acknowledging parent

Consent instrument (in the case of an adult or emancipated acknowledged person)
Cost and timeframe of the acknowledgment registration
The cost of the acknowledgment registration varies depending on where the request is made. The amounts for requests made in Cabo Verde differ from those applicable to requests made abroad.

How to apply for the acknowledgment registration declaration online
You can request the acknowledgment registration on the portal or in the GOV.CV app. Click "Apply online" to start and follow these steps:
Indicate who the request is for

Fill in the acknowledging parent's identification details
Enter first name, last name and other required details
Provide the acknowledging parent's identification document
Enter the type, number and date of the document
Indicate the place of birth
Select the country and place of birth
Enter the acknowledgment details
Fill in the acknowledged child's identification details
Enter first name, last name and other required details
Attach the documents
Always attach documents that are currently valid
Finalize the request
Check and, if necessary, change the details before finalizing the request
Make the payment
Pay simply and securely using digital means
Track your request
Track the status of your acknowledgment registration request in the "My requests" area available on the portal or in the GOV.CV app.
