Marriage Transcription

The Marriage Transcription can be requested when the marriage takes place abroad, allowing its registration in Cape Verde. The transcription request can be made on the Gov.cv portal. 

1. Required Documents:
   • Marriage Certificate of the interested party (valid);
   • Transcription request report, signed by the applicant;
   • Birth certificate of the spouse, if the spouse is a foreigner;
   • Copy of identification documents of both spouses.
2. Deadline:

   The process can take up to 2 business days.
